BelowTheBeltline.org is about progress.
Progress towards a true citizen-led government.
Progress towards high quality of life for all citizens.
Progress towards clean water, clean air, clean streets.
Blogging for a progressive Raleigh.
Here at BelowTheBeltline we take O’Neill’s maxim that “all politics is local” to its illogical extreme. We can’t soil our own nest, because we can’t move on to another.
So we deliver to you our take on truly local politics of the City of Raleigh. No Mayor, no Councilor, no manager, commissioner, or advocate is sacrosanct. We’ll throw a low blow when we think it deserved, but we also will herald those who wave the progressive banner high. Sometimes sassy, often insulting, usually irreverent, and always insightful, our only pledge is to strive to be fair and accurate in our reporting and analysis.
Call on God, but row away from the rocks.
