MSNBC won the prime time demo on Wednesday night as both Chris Hayes and Alex Wagner beat their Fox and CNN competition in the key 25-54 age demographic.

Fox News won prime time in total viewers, while CNN’s town hall event with former Vice President Mike Pence kept the network in third place.

Fox News brought in 1.66 million total viewers across prime time, beating MSNBC’s 1.41 million. CNN landed third with 609,000 total viewers, a notable uptick for the network which was languishing closer to 500,000 viewers in recent weeks.

In the demo, MSNBC won with 156,000 viewers to Fox’s 144,000. CNN landed third with 109,000 demo viewers. Fox’s The Five remained the highest-rated show on cable news and the network won in total day averages in both the demo and total viewers.
