Cable News Ratings Friday May 5: Fox News Places Last in Demo in Tucker’s Old Timeslot

Lawrence Jones, who is the second guest host on Fox News Tonight since Tucker Carlson was fired, came in third place Friday night in the key 25-54 age demographic with 90,000 demo viewers. MSNBC led the hour with 145,000 demo viewers, while CNN came in second with 99,000 demo viewers.

MSNBC’s Chris Hayes beat Fox News Tonight at 8 p.m. in total viewers as well with 1.37 million total viewers to Fox’s 1.28 million total viewers. Fox still handily beat CNN in total viewers during the hour.

Overall in prime time, Fox News led in total viewers with an average of 1.38 million viewers, but came in second place in the demo. MSNBC landed second in total viewers with 1.32 million viewers, but led Fox in the demo 138,000 to 95,000 average viewers.

CNN came in third in prime time with 403,000 total average viewers and 77,000 demo viewers.
