Cable News Ratings Wednesday May 17: Newsmax’s Eric Bolling Again Beats Anderson Cooper, CNN Prime Time Ticks Up

Newsmax beat CNN at 8 p.m. for the second evening in a row on Wednesday as Eric Bolling led Anderson Cooper in total viewers.

Bolling brought in 587,000 total viewers to Cooper’s 562,000 to come in third and fourth place overall — respectively. Bolling has seen his ratings rise since Tucker Carlson’s firing in late April.

Fox News won the hour with Will Cain guest hosting Fox News Tonight, bringing in 1.55 million total viewers. MSNBC landed second place with 1.28 million total viewers tuning in to see Chris Hayes.

CNN did see an uptick in prime time viewers from the day before, averaging 460,000 viewers from 8 to 11 p.m. — up from 397,000 the day before.
