Cable News Ratings Thursday May 18: Fox’s Will Cain Wins 8 P.M. – CNN’s Cooper Loses to Newsmax Again
Fox News won the 8 p.m. hour on Thursday night as Will Cain guest hosted Fox News Tonight. MSNBC’s Chris Hayes came in second in total viewers to Cain, although Hayes won the key 25-54 age demographic.
Anderson Cooper lost for the third night in a row to Newsmax’s Eric Bolling, despite having the second-highest-rated show on CNN – after Erin Burnett.
Bolling beat Cooper with 568,000 viewers to 544,000.
Cain well outpaced MSNBC’s Hayes 1.63 million viewers to 1.28 million. Hayes led the demo with 179,000 viewers to Fox’s 156,000. Cooper was third in the demo with 97,000, while Bolling brought in 69,000.
