‘Fellas, I Need 11,000 Votes’: Listen to the Full Audio of Trump’s Hour-Long Call Pressuring Brad Raffensperger

The Washington Post has dropped the full audio of the hour-long call President Donald Trump had with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.

It started off with a doozy as the president falsely claimed he won Georgia and even absurdly touted “rally size” as a metric proving it. He baselessly claimed Raffensperger would find “a couple hundred thousand forged signatures” if he looked into it.

Joe Biden’s win in Georgia has been affirmed several times now, including after a recent recount and a signature audit in one county.

None of this has stopped the president from engaging in baseless conspiracy theories about the election results, many of which he repeated to Raffensperger.

He continued pushing all sorts of claims about the votes in Georgia, insisting to Raffensperger that there were thousands of dead voters (early claims his team made about dead voters in Georgia were debunked) and even saying at one point he believes that other states will flip to him too.

Raffensperger attempted to patiently explain the facts to the president, but Trump continued to falsely insist he won, bringing up the conspiracy theories about the voting machines.

“It’s just not possible to have lost Georgia,” the president insisted.

Raffensperger had to tell the president “the data you have is wrong” and said his team is astronomically off on the number of dead voters they found.

“You know the Internet? You know what was trending on the Internet?” Trump said as he continued pushing conspiracies based on stuff he’s heard.

At one point, Raffensperger told Trump, “The problem you have with social media, people can say anything.”

“This isn’t social media, this is Trump media,” Trump actually said.

The president tried to needle Raffensperger by saying “you’ve made it almost impossible for a Republican to win because of cheating,” before ominously implying Raffensperger engaged in a “criminal offense.”

“That’s a big risk to you and to Ryan, your lawyer. And that’s a big risk,” Trump said.

Ryan Germany, special counsel in Raffensperger’s office, pushed back and said, “What we’re seeing is not at all what you’re describing, these are investigators from our office, these are investigators from GBI, and they’re looking and they’re good.”

Trump continued to push baseless claims about ballots being shredded and said, “We need only 11,000 votes. We have are far more than that as it stands now. We’ll have more and more… So what are we going to do here, folks? I only need 11,000 votes. Fellas, I need 11,000 votes. Give me a break. You know, we have that in spades already.”

“Every single ballot that she did through the machines at early, early in the morning, went to Biden,” the president said, just before Germany again had to say his claim is just not true.

Trump — who just last week shared a bonkers false conspiracy about Raffensperger having a brother who works for China (Ron Raffensperger, the CTO of Huawei Enterprise Storage Solutions, is not actually his brother) — tried to insist that it’s actually the two of them who have the wrong data.

The president even went after Governor Brian Kemp, called himself a “schmuck” for endorsing him in the first place, and said, “I can’t imagine he’s ever getting elected again.”

Towards the end of the call, Trump baselessly claimed he won “by 400,000 votes.”

And, of course, at one point he said, “I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have because we won the state.”
