Unvaxxed NFL QB Kirk Cousins Gets Brutally Mocked for Claiming He’ll ‘Do Whatever it Takes’ to Avoid Covid: ‘To Be Fair, the Vaccine Requires A Good Arm’
Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins does not want to get Covid-19, he doesn’t want to miss games or practice because of Covid.
Earlier this week, Cousins returned to the Vikings after being forced to miss four practices because of Covid protocols. The Vikings quarterback has not been vaccinated, which means if Cousins is deemed a close contact of a teammate who tests positive for Covid, then he must enter a five-day quarantine period. Prior to training camp, the NFL released a separate set of rules for vaccinated and unvaccinated players, in an effort to prevent Covid outbreaks and incentivize players getting the jab
Frustrated by the time away from practice, Cousins vowed to “do whatever it takes” to avoid the virus. Except to this point, he won’t get vaccinated, which offers the easiest and most effective protection from Covid.
Instead, Cousins said he’s considering an elaborate plan of surrounding himself with plexiglass to avoid catching Covid from a teammate and to ensure he is not in close contact of anyone who tests positive.
“I’m going to be vigilant about avoiding a close contact,” Cousins declared on Thursday. “I’ve even thought about, should I just set up, literally, plexiglass around where I sit so that this could never happen again. I’ve thought about it, cause I’m gonna do whatever it takes.”
When asked, ‘why not just get the vaccine?’ Cousins answered, “the vaccination decision is a private, very private health matter for me.”
As soon as Twitter found out Cousins’ “whatever it takes” to avoid Covid includes surrounding himself with plexiglass, but not getting vaccinated, they ganged up on the Vikings quarterback.

“Do whatever it takes” EXCEPT get the vaccine.
Good grief. https://t.co/gFAcjj3Nlt— Valerie Bertinelli (@Wolfiesmom) August 6, 2021
It’s amazing how this guy’s refusal to get a harmless shot, which endangers the lives of his entire team, coach, family, and anyone he comes in contact with inspires no outrage whatsoever from the right. But @Kaepernick7 kneeling during the anthem had them burning their Nike’s. https://t.co/pNkQQdrjhg

Kirk has always played as though he was encased in glass, so this is on brand. https://t.co/d9gNp5BbUz

To be fair, the vaccination requires a good arm to put it in. https://t.co/rNCb78jPV9
